Recessed shower drain and siphon
A walk-in shower is a practical solution. It allows for a seamless transition from your flooring to the shower area. It relies on the installation of a concealed linear drain or floor traps, which facilitate water drainage thanks to the slope of your tiles.

Installing a recessed shower drain or a ready-to-tile shower tray
Recessed shower channels, floor drains, or ready-to-tile shower trays allow you to create a walk-in shower by integrating the drainage directly into the screed. This system is perfectly suited to new builds and renovations when space permits.
At tots.fr, we sell walk-in shower systems online. These systems are equipped with an odor-control siphon and a grate that traps impurities, making them easy to clean. Standard sizes range from 70 cm to 90 cm, and our ready-to-tile shower trays come in sizes from 120 cm to 200 cm, suitable for most showers.
Recessed drainage channels are available in various finishes: matte black, chrome, brushed gold, gunmetal, stainless steel, or tileable versions. They come in two versions because they are reversible. The latter allows the metal part to be concealed with tiles for a discreet finish. Hence the name "tileable drainage channels."
To ensure proper installation, a minimum slope of 5 cm in the screed is required. Once the drainage channel is installed, waterproofing is applied above it to prevent leaks.
Floor drains: a practical alternative
Concealed floor drains are a versatile option, ideal for small showers or even smaller spaces such as toilets, kitchens, or garages. They ensure efficient drainage while remaining compact and discreet. Many of our customers install a floor drain in a toilet or garage to remove wastewater.
Some models can be tiled, allowing for a uniform visual appearance. They are also easy to maintain and available in various materials and finishes, such as metal or matte black.
Choosing a concealed shower system requires a good understanding of waterproofing, as this is done after installation. The waterproofing of your shower isn't achieved by the drain itself, but by the sealant you apply. This way, you won't experience any leaks for years to come.
Our siphons and channels are guaranteed for 5 years at Tots.
